In actuality, iPhone 4 has a significant potential for the successful introduction in the market. At this point, it is important to conduct the SWOT analysis to reveal strengths and weaknesses of iPhone 4, opportunities and threats (See Table 4).
First of all, it is important to dwell upon strengths of iPhone 4. Among the major strengths of iPhone 4, it is worth mentioning extensive experience, innovations, widely-spread network, effective internal business operations. In actuality, iPhone 4 is the fourth model of iPhones and uses advanced technologies, which put iPhone in an advantageous position compared to its rivals. At the same time, Apple has a widely-spread network, which facilitates the distribution of iPhone 4 and its extension internationally. In addition, the company has to develop its new product and introduce it successfully. In this regard, the effective internal business operations contribute to the successful introduction of iPhone 4 in the market.
On the other hand, iPhone 4 has a number of weaknesses. In this regard, it is worth mentioning the need of investments to develop new technologies, which are applied in iPhone 4 and its further modifications. Another weakness of iPhone 4 is the lack of compatibility with other mobile devices and software, especially those of rivals. As a result, iPhone 4 cannot be used with smartphones and software manufactured by Apple’s rivals. The lack of compatibility creates substantial difficulties for users.
Nevertheless, iPhone 4 has great opportunities. In actuality, iPhone 4 holds the leading position in the market. In fact, precursors of iPhone have proved to be extremely successfully. Therefore, iPhone 4 can count for the further success and positive acceptance by consumers. In addition, it is worth mentioning the customer loyalty, which is extremely important in the contemporary business environment. As the matter of fact, the customer loyalty defines, to a significant extent, the overall success of the introduction of the new product. In such a context, it is necessary to take into consideration another opportunity for iPhone – the attractiveness of iPhone 4 for consumers. iPhones are popular among consumers, therefore, iPhone can also succeed as did its precursor. Furthermore, iPhone 4 can expand its market share due to technical advantages and new services provided by iPhone 4. At the same time, iPhone can enter new markets. In this regard, the company has a particularly significant potential in terms of expansion and entering new markets of developing countries. At the moment, iPhone is underrepresented in the market of developing countries but it has the opportunity to carry on growing and expanding its markets internationally.
However, iPhone should eliminate existing threats, among which it is possible to single out the high rivalry. In this regard, the appearance of Nexus One is a particularly significant threat to the position of iPhone 4 in the market. In fact, rivals challenge the leading position of iPhone 4 in the market and, in a long-run perspective, iPhone 4 can start losing its positions not only in new markets but also in traditional markets. The limitedness of the market of iPhone 4, which focuses on developed countries mainly. In such a way, iPhone 4 can succeed and gain an advantageous position in the market. At the same time, the economic recession and low buying power of consumers is another threat to the position of iPhone in the market because the buying power of consumers drops and the company cannot succeed with its new product.
At the same time, it is important to take into consideration the position of the company in the market. The Apple Computers Inc. is one of the largest companies operating worldwide. In fact, the company occupies a very strong position in the international market and basically it is one of the leaders of consumer electronics and related software products. In this respect, it should be said that it would be quite difficult to enter the market where the Apple Computers Inc. because the entry barriers are very high and the company has already gained the recognition of customers worldwide and its brand is recognizable in many countries of the world. Nevertheless, it does not necessarily mean that the position of the company that targets to enter this market is absolutely desperate. In order to find possible was of the effective competition with the Apple Computers Inc., it is necessary to conduct the SWOT analysis, which can help reveal major strength, weaknesses, perspectives and potential threats the company is facing.
iPhone 4 is the latest generation of iPhones. The precursor of iPhone 4, iPhone 3 has worse technical characteristics but substantially lower price (See App. Table 2). At this point, it is worth mentioning the fact that iPhone 4 is positioned as a product that would replace iPhone 3 and become the industry leader. iPhone 4 has multiple functions, including traditional ones, such as video recording, internet connection, connectivity to social networks, and others. The new product has longer battery life, which is one of the major advantages of the new iPhone. In addition, iPhone 4 is compatible with its precursor and other devices, which make it very useful and convenient for users, who use multiple mobile devices. At the same time, iPhone 4 can replace other mobile devices due to its multifunctionality.
iPhone 4 is extremely popular today due to the fast development of internet, information and telecommunication technologies. As a result, iPhone comprises an integral part of the mainstream culture today and it is an efficient tool of communication. Technologies keep progressing and new products emerge. Therefore, Apple can expect the appearance of new rivals in the market and the fast improvement of existing products.
In regard to politics, the situation is beneficial for iPhone because policy makers are interested in the development of high technologies and fast business development. As a result, the authorities support the development of iPhones and other products, which stimulate fast economic growth.
Standard features price
The standard features price varies from $199 to $299 depending on the memory size, which may vary from 16 GB to 32 GB. The 16 GB model will cost $199, whereas the 32 GB model will cost $299. Nevertheless, many consumers are ready to pay as high price as that because they need more memory space to store all the information and data in their iPhones to be able to use that information and data any time they need them.
Nevertheless, iPhone 4 still faces the strong competition from the part of its rivals. In this respect, it is possible to single out Nokia N95, for Nokia was traditionally one of the leaders in the smartphones industry. However, today, the position of Nokia has been shattered because of the introduction of iPhones, which outpaced their rivals consistently. At the same time, new players appear in the market, among which it is possible to distinguish HTC EVO 4G (See Table 3), which can compete with iPhone 4 successfully. In addition, one of the most significant steps undertaken by Apple’s rivals was the introduction of Nexus One by Google, which have already become a serious threat to the leading position of iPhones in the industry. However, at the moment, Nexus One has not challenged the position of iPhone yet. At this point, it is worth mentioning the fact that the major problem of iPhone 4 rivals is a short battery life time. As a result, iPhone turns out to be more functional and long living, whereas users of rival smartphones have to switch off some functions to prolong the life of their smartphones’ batteries.
Today, iPhone holds the leading position in the market. However, Apple faces the competition that grows stronger over and over again to challenge the position of its iPhone in the market. The major rivals of iPhone are: Google’s Nexus One, Nokia N900, Palm Pre and others. Nexus One and Nokia N900 are particularly significant rivals because they use aggressive market expansion strategies. Google has a strong position in the high tech industry but the company’s Nexus One is the first experience of the company in smartphones’ market. In contrast, Nokia N900 has an extensive experience of manufacturing and selling smartphones but underdeveloped software. As a result, iPhone’s position in the market is still strong.
Channel and logistics review
Taking into consideration the fact that iPhone 4 is the fourth model of iPhones, the new model of iPhones does not need to develop a new distribution network or to use new logistic schemes. Instead, iPhone 4 can use existing channels and logistics. However, Apple has to expand its network and channels of distribution because, at the moment, iPhones focus on well-developed countries mainly, such as the US, the EU and others, whereas other countries of the world turn out to be in a disadvantageous position because they cannot purchase and use the full potential of iPhone 4. In contrast to Apple, rivals of iPhone 4 expand their network internationally, including countries of the third world. In such a way, iPhone 4 can lose a large market, if it fails to expand its network internationally further on. On the other hand, countries of the third world suffer from technological backwardness that limits the use of iPhone 4 in these countries and make the purchase of the new model of iPhones virtually pointless.
iPhone is sold in developed countries only. The company needs to expand its market, especially in developing countries, where the product is also popular but underrepresented in the market. In such a way, iPhone opens the way for its rivals to enter new markets. In addition, the economic crisis has slowed down the sale rates of iPhones because customers cannot afford or are unwilling to purchase iPhones now. However, this trend is provisional and the product has good prospects in the market.

Today, iPhone holds the leading position in the market of modern smartphones. However, iPhone faces the growing competition from the part of its rivals, such as Nokia, Google Nexus One, and others. Therefore, Apple has to develop new models of iPhones among which iPhone 4 is the most advanced and technologically perfect model. However, to become successful, iPhone 4 needs effective marketing and promotion.
Current marketing situation
On analyzing the current marketing situation, it is important to place emphasis on the fact that smartphone industry keeps progressing and new smartphones appear challenging the leading position of iPhone. In actuality, iPhone 4 is likely to be a leader in the industry because iPhone traditionally holds the leading position in the market because its domination and technological advancement in the industry. In addition, the demand on iPhone 4 and smartphones at large keeps growing because customers use smartphones more and more frequently. As a result, new products that appear in the smartphone industry attract the attention of consumers and, if products are successful, they can gain a large share of the market in a relatively short time. Consumers can hardly live without their mobile devices, whereas iPhone 4 as well as other smartphones help consumers to use the full potential of mobile, internet, and information technologies with the help of device, which they can carry in their pockets.
The market of smartphones has not been saturated yet. The demand on new smartphones is still relatively high because these products offer wide-range of services and gadgets, which attract consumers and make them interested in the product. Moreover, modern smartphones like iPhone 4 offer services, which make them not only convenient to use but also virtually essential to use because consumers can make calls, transactions, maintain communication and do routine office work using their iPhone 4. At the same time, along Apple’s iPhone, which holds the leading position in the market, there are such rivals as Nokia, Google, Motorola and others. In such a situation, Apple introduces iPhone 4 to maintain its competitive position and to improve its leadership in the industry. Consumers, in their turn, are prepared for the introduction of the new product, taking into consideration the tremendous success of earlier versions of iPhone.
My Week 4 Individual Project consists of three parts. The first part is an overview of systems of equations, contains typification of their solutions and graphical interpretation of three possible types of solutions. Part 2 of the project deals with break-even and cost analysis using the example where it is necessary to compare the offers of two companies providing upkeep of lawns. For this part I had to construct a system of equations and to determine the break-even point where it was indifferent which company to choose as well as potential decisions for the number of labor hours below and above the break-even point. In Part 3, related to financial mathematics, I had to perform an online research regarding mortgage loans, the procedures of obtaining a home loan and the choice of optimal mortgage conditions. Among the important findings in this part was the calculation of effective interest rate and the factors which influence the choice of a loan. Also, information on additional loan payments and different methods how companies manage to increase total interest payments will be very useful for taking loans in future.
In the process of completing the assignment, I had to recall knowledge of general mathematics for part 1 and in some extent for part 2, and performed a small online research for part 3. Part 1 and part 2 had clearly formulated tasks, and fulfilling these tasks did not present any additional problems for me. However, I believe that for part 3 more clarification is needed, since the subject of mortgages and mortgage payments is rather a broad topic to be placed into two paragraphs. Also, it was not determined what is an “ideal interest rate” mentioned in the task. Since different individuals have different limitations, this task needs a more detailed description of this concept.
Most of all I enjoyed part 2, since it presented quite a practical problem with a particular example, where it is possible to visualize the results of applying mathematical in real situations. Although, the understand of break-even point was very helpful for me since there is a number of situations where it is important to realize the existence of this break-even point and perform appropriate calculations. Although part 3 was also quite informative and will be helpful for analyzing loans in future, it was quite difficult to compress the generalized task without the limitations and preferences that commonly exist in real life into two paragraphs. In general, all this project was interesting for me since it was related to real life situations.
Table of contents:
Maximum tonnage of coking coal that can be carried and shipped deadweights and costs for a round voyage
Ship owner’s obligations and liabilities
The time charter equivalent
Today, the transportation of natural resources is very important for the stable supply of countries and companies with natural resources and their normal economic and business development. In this regard, the supply of coking coal is particularly important because coking coal is used in different industry, especially metallurgical industry and the stable supply of coking coal is vitally important for many metallurgical plants worldwide. In actuality, the Pakistan Steel COA Tender provides companies with the possibility to win the tender and supply coking coal to Pakistan. At this point, it is important to place emphasis on the fact that transportation costs increase substantially the price customers pay for the coking coal they want to buy.E. While taking a decision whether to ship the coking coal from aforementioned countries to Pakistan, the company shipping the coking coal will need substantial costs but they vary consistently depending on the tonnage of ships and the distance from the port of supplier to the destination port. In addition, it is necessary to take into consideration multiple factors that affect shipping costs, including the fuel consumed by ships in the course of voyage, water supply and wages paid to crews. In such a way, the shipping of the coking coal to Pakistan from Port Gladstone, Newcastle, Hampton Roads, Roberts Bank will need substantial costs and Pakistan Steel COA Tender should choose the best option among the variety of offers to purchase the coking coal and ship it to the target port at the lower price, shorter time and larger volumes, whereas the shipping company should assess accurately, whether shipping of the coking coal to Pakistan Steel COA Tender is worth bidding or probably it will bring nothing but financial losses. To make a definite choice, the shipping company should assess each route and analyze whether the four routes are worth bidding or not, taking into consideration costs of voyages and expected revenues.
Obviously, today, the reliable and fast supply of the coking coal to the Pakistan Steel COA Tender is crucial for its steady economic development and regular operations. In such a situation, the shipping company should bid the contract and take the four routes suggested by the Pakistan Steel COA Tender. However, among the variety of routes the Pakistan Steel COA Tender some are not profitable. To put it more precisely, the shipping of the coking coal from Hampton Roads will not be beneficial for the company. On the other hand, revenues from the shipping the coking coal from Port Gladstone, Port Newcastle and Robert Banks will outweigh financial losses from the shipping the coking coal from Hampton Roads.
In this regard, the shipping company should elaborate accurate criteria on the ground which it can make a decision on whether to bid or not. First of all, the shipping company should focus on the time of shipping, which may be crucial in the contemporary business environment. The faster the product is shipped, the faster it can be processed and delivered to the target customer.
Second, the volume of products shipped is also of the utmost importance. In this regard, the shipping company should focus on the possibly larger volume of the coking coal supply to maximize the effectiveness of shipping because the large volume of supplied coking coal allows the Pakistan Steel COA Tender to increase the production of steel. Therefore, the shipping company can count for the long-running growth of supplies and shipping of the coking coal to the Pakistan Steel COA Tender. In addition, the larger volume of the coking coal supplied saves time and resources of the shipping company and brings higher profits.
Furthermore, the shipping company should pay attention on charges ports take for a tone of the coking coal because they affect consistently the costs of voyage and running costs. In such a situation, the company should attempt to minimize its costs and maximize the delivery of the coking coal. However, it is not always possible to find the best option. In this regard, the shipping company should bid because the contract with the Pakistan Steel COA Tender will bring $43,725 of net voyage surplus that is not high but regular surplus the company can receive on the regular basis, whereas, in a long-run perspective, the supply of the coking coal can increase and so will the benefits of the shipping company.
In such a situation, the role of ship owner’s obligations and liabilities can hardly be underestimated. First of all, it is important to place emphasis on the fact that ship owners should provide reliable and safe ships for the transportation of the coking coal (Reger, 1999. What is meant here is the fact that ships should be reliable enough to guarantee the delivery of the coking coal in time without losses. Furthermore, ship owners should nominate responsible captains and crews to ensure their high professional level and, therefore, reliable delivery of the coking coal to the destination port. Ship owners are responsible for the recruitment and work of the crews.
Furthermore, the ship owners should control the loading of the coking coal on the board and its delivery to the destination port with the following loading the coking coal off the board. In addition, ship owners are responsible for any damages that can occur to the cargo in the course of transportation (Pfeffer, 1995). In case of damages or loss of the cargo, ship owners should compensate the losses to the owner of the cargo, i.e. the Pakistan Steel COA Tender. In such a way, ship owners should insure the safety and reliability of shipping.
Moreover, ship owners are responsible for the delivery of the cargo in time. Any delays will lead to compensations ship owners have to pay off to the cargo’s owner, i.e. the Pakistan Steel COA Tender (Olson & Schwab, 1997). In such a way, the Pakistan Steel COA Tender can count for the reliable, safe and in-time delivery of the coking coal.
The Time Charter Equivalent
At the same time, while taking a decision on choosing the supplier, the Pakistan Steel Tender should take into consideration the Time Charter Equivalent.
Taking into consideration the fact that Port Gladstone and Port Newcastle charge $25 per tonne, the Time Charter Equivalent for these ports will be as follows:
Port Gladstone $25*350,000 = $8,750,000
Port Newcastle $25*210,000 = $5,250,000
Taking into consideration the fact that Hampton Roads and Roberts Bank charge $35 per tonne, the Time Charter Equivalent will be as follows:
Hampton Roads $35*210,000 = $7,350,000
Roberts Bank $35*210,000 = $7,350,000
Thus, taking into account all above mentioned, it is possible to provide some recommendations for the shipping company to bid Pakistan Steel COA Tender in regard to supplying the coking coal. First of all, it is important to place emphasis on the fact that the shipping company should take into consideration the costs of voyage and running costs it will spend on shipping the coking coal. In this regard, Port Gladstone, Port Newcastle and Robert Banks are in an advantageous position because they bring profits to the shipping company as its net voyage surplus are higher than possible financial losses from the shipping of the coking coal from Hampton Roads, because this route does not bring profits but financial losses. Moreover, Port Newcastle charges lower amount of money compared to Port Gladstone. On the other hand, the shipping company should take into consideration the delivery time (Pfeffer, 1998). In this regard, Port Gladstone and Port Newcastle are in an advantageous position again. However, the faster delivery from Newcastle is due, to a significant extent, to the lower volume of the coking coal being delivered. In this regard, the volume of the coking coal delivered from Port Gladstone is a third larger compared to Port Newcastle as well as Hampton Roads and Robert Banks. In fact, Port Gladstone can supply a third more of the volume supplied by other suppliers. At this point, the shipping company can count for $43,725 in net voyage surplus taking into consideration benefits from shipping the coking coal from Port Gladstone, Port Newcastle, and Robert Banks, and financial losses from the shipping of the coking coal from Hampton Roads. On taking the bid and supplying the coking coal to the Pakistan Steel COA Tender, the shipping company can maintain the stable and reliable supply of the coking coal and gain steady profits, which are not high but the company will certainly gain them.
Port Gladstone (Australia) 350,000 tonnes (See Table 1)
The transportation of coking coal from Port Gladstone to Pakistan has its own advantages due to the large volume of coking coal that can be shipped to the target market. In this respect, it is important to place emphasis on the fact that the transportation of the coking coal from Port Gladstone to Pakistan is quite convenient because Australia is one of the largest suppliers of coking coal in the world market. Therefore, Australia has a well-developed infrastructure and fleet capable to carry the coking coal from Port Gladstone to the destination port in possibly shorter time. In addition, the transition costs are relatively low.
Moreover, Port Gladstone offers the Pakistan Steel COE Tender the largest volume of the coking coal being transported in a relatively short time. In fact, the larger volume of the coking coal being delivered to Pakistan is provided due to the larger capacity of ships used to ship the coking coal from Port Gladstone to Pakistan. The voyage costs on the delivery from Port Gladstone to Pakistan comprise $1,164,591, whereas voyage costs and running costs comprise $1,533,792. The time of voyage will take about 65 days that is quite acceptable, taking into consideration the distance between the supplier and the destination port. In addition, the net voyage surplus expected by the shipping company is $130,580, while the net daily surplus is expected to be $2,013 per day.
Port Newcastle (Australia) 210,000 tonnes (See Table 2)
Port Newcastle can compete with Port Gladstone in terms of costs of transit because Port Newcastle is located relatively close to Port Gladstone and consistently closer compared to American or Canadian ports. As a result, Australian ports are in an advantageous position in this regard. At the same time, Port Newcastle can offer lower volume of the coking coal being transported to Pakistan. Voyage costs for shipping the coking coal from Port of New Castle to Pakistan comprise $1,173,781, whereas voyage costs and running costs comprise $1,551,749. At first glance, costs are relatively low but it is necessary to take into consideration the difference in the volume of the coking coal that can be delivered from Newcastle and Gladstone. The latter is in an advantageous position due to the larger volume of the coking coal that can be delivered to Pakistan compared to Newcastle. Furthermore, it is worth mentioning the fact that Port Newcastle will need only 63 days spent for the delivery of the coking coal. At the same time, the expected net voyage surplus for the shipping company will comprise $132,626 or $2,105 per day.
Hampton Roads (USA) 210,000 tonnes (See Table 3)
Hampton Roads (USA) is another possible supplier of the coking coal to Pakistan. In this respect, it is important to place emphasis on the fact that the volume of the coking coal that can be shipped from Hampton Roads to Pakistan is similar to the volume of the coking coal that can be delivered from Port Newcastle to Pakistan. At the same time, Hampton Roads is located consistently father compared to Newcastle or Gladstone. As a result, costs of shipping from Hampton Roads to Pakistan are consistently higher compared to Australian ports. To put it more precisely, the costs of voyage from Hampton Roads to Pakistan comprise $2,214,187, whereas the costs of voyage and the running costs comprise $2,683,023. In addition, the voyage will be longer and it will take more than 78 days at the least. Taking into consideration the relatively low volume of the coking coal being delivered from Hampton Roads to Pakistan, the expected net surplus for the shipping company will comprise -$324,898, whereas the net daily surplus will comprise -$4,158.
Roberts Bank (Canada) 210,000 tonnes (See Table 4)
As for Roberts Bank, it is worth mentioning the fact that Roberts Bank is located in Canada and the distance from Roberts Bank to Pakistan is comparable to the distance between Pakistan and Hampton Roads. However, the costs of voyage from Roberts Bank to Pakistan are lower compared to the costs of voyage Hampton Roads to Pakistan and comprise $1,727,340. As for the voyage costs and running costs, they comprise $2,252,708 that is also quite high costs among the four routes. At this point, it is worth mentioning the fact that the volume of the coking coal delivered from Roberts Bank to Pakistan is comparable to that of Hampton Roads and Newcastle. Basically, Roberts Bank offers a little bit longer delivery compared to Hampton Roads but not as fast delivery as Port Newcastle. The voyage will take about 88 days. Therefore, Roberts Bank turns out to be in a disadvantageous position compared to Port Gladstone as well as Newcastle but still this route is also profitable for the shipping company. To put it more precisely, the expected net surplus for the shipping company will comprise $105,417 in total or $1,204 per day.
The development and implementation of new technologies and new products raises another practical issue – the issue of protection of new products and technologies. For instance, the development of new information systems affects consistently human computer interaction, its design and creation of new, effective products. At the same time, today, specialists argue that information systems and information technologies are vulnerable to the impact of such threats as information breaches and identity thefts. As a result, new technologies may become a threat to human computer interaction because they may put under a threat the privacy of people.
Human-computer interaction involves not only practical but also ethical issues, such as the interference in the private life of individuals through stealing private information or getting access to private data. In this regard, it is possible to refer to cases of downloading music online without the author’s consent, which is quite a frequent case in the modern society.
At the same time, the development of human-computer interaction raises the problem of the change in social relationships. For instance, the emergence of social networks leads to the formation of virtual communities and new social activities. The growing impact of the virtual world changes the social life of people.
Thus, taking into account all above mentioned, it is important to place emphasis on the fact that the development of new technologies, information and computer technologies raises a number of conceptual, ethical, and practical issues. At this point, it is worth mentioning the fact that the accurate and adequate evaluation of human computer interaction depends on the development of new products, which should be effective and user-friendly. At this point, it is worth mentioning the fact that the development of new products should meet needs and wants of people. In such a context, the adequate and accurate evaluation of the design and creation of new products is crucial for the effectiveness of the design and effectiveness of new products.
In such a context, ethical issues arise. To put it more precisely, one of the most important and significant ethical issues is the issue of privacy, which affects consistently the life of people. The modern society is vulnerable to the threat of the violation of privacy rights of people and the protection of legal norms. At this point it is worth mentioning the fact that the development of modern technologies may raise the problem of information breaches. As a result, people can suffer from the loss of private information or identity theft. In such a way, the loss of private information can affect consistently the life of individuals and human computer interaction.
Furthermore, the violation of intellectual property rights is another ethical issue that arises in terms of the development of human computer interaction. To put it more precisely, new, computer technologies outpace the development of legislation. As a result, human computer interaction is often grounded on ethical norms and values, instead of legal ones. The lack of legal regulations still raises the problem of the violation of ethical norms. In such a way, people can suffer from the violation of ethical norms while using computer technologies. In this regard, it is worth mentioning the fact that the violation of intellectual property rights is one of the most widely-spread ethical issues that affect consistently the design of human computer interaction and the creation of effective products.
Therefore, the violation of existing ethical and moral norms is one of the negative effects of the development of human computer interaction. To put it more precisely, the development of new technologies and design of human computer interaction needs new, conceptual forms and the formation of new relations, which affect consistently the development of the modern society. The existing ethical norms and values cannot always be extrapolated on human computer interaction because human computer interaction is different from interaction between humans.
Obviously, the human-computer interaction should be regulated to avoid unethical practices, such as the violation of privacy of individuals. In this regard, developers and software should take responsibility for their technical developments to prevent unethical practices. At the same time, the government should introduce strict regulations of human-computer interaction to lay the legal foundation to the protection of ethical norms and values.
The evaluation of human-computer interaction should involve experts, such as IT specialists, sociologists, psychologists, economists and other specialists. These experts can provide the wide scope of theoretical and practical framework, on the ground of which it is possible to conduct the in-depth analysis of human-computer interaction and is impact on the life of people.
At this point, it is important to dwell upon the importance of evaluation in design and creation of effective products. In actuality, the design of human computer interaction and creation of effective products are very important. In fact, the design of human computer interaction affects consistently the effectiveness of human computer interaction because people use new technologies and computers in their regular life. The design of human computer interaction defines how people use technologies and computers in their regular life and they need to use new technologies effectively. In such a situation, developers of new products should focus on the adaptation of the new products to needs and wants of people. People need to develop new effective technologies, which are easy to use. This is why the user-friendliness is one of the major criteria that define the effectiveness of human computer interaction. What is meant here is the fact that human computer interaction should be based on the comprehensibility and easiness to use of new technologies and computers. New technologies and products should be convenient to use that means that they should not raise any problems in users. The simplicity of new technologies facilitates human computer interaction because users do not face any problems in using new technologies.
At the same time, the easiness to use and user-friendliness of computer technologies are not the only criteria of their evaluation. In this regard, it is important to place emphasis on the fact that another criterion of evaluation of human computer interaction is the quality of the development of new technologies and products. What is meant here is the fact that new product should be effective in terms of their reliability and efficiency. The emergence of new technologies raises the problem of adequate assessment because new technologies set higher standards of quality. As a result, it is difficult to assess accurately the effectiveness of new technologies and their reliability because they need time to test their reliability. In such a situation, the evaluation of human computer interaction depends on the effectiveness of interaction in terms of the positive impact on humans. In other words, new technologies can bring positive effects to humans in their work.
IDENTIFY THE PRACTICAL ISSUES
In such a context, it is important to dwell upon conceptual issues related to human computer interaction and its evaluation. To put it more precisely, the development of new technologies implies the development of evaluation criteria to assess the effectiveness of human computer interaction. Moreover, human computer interaction is grounded on the new technologies used in the modern society. In this regard, the development of new technologies raises the concept of impact of technologies on humans. In fact, this is one of the major, fundamental concepts that persist in the modern society. In actuality, the development of new technologies increases the impact of human resources on the modern society is one of the major conceptual issues, which raises heat debates among specialists as well as average people (Rogers, Sharp, & Preece, 2011). At this point, it is worth mentioning the fact that the modern society is vulnerable to the impact of new technologies consistently.
At the same time, along with conceptual issues, a number of practical issues arises. To put it more precisely, the evaluation of human computer interaction, design and creation of effective products raise the problem of the development and successful introduction of new technologies which can improve the life of people. In this regard, the utility of new technologies is very important because it defines the effectiveness of new products. At the same time, utility contributes to the accurate assessment and evaluation of new technologies and products and their impact on the life of people.
